National Security Operations Seize Thousands of Smuggled School Textbooks in Baghdad

The National Security Service announced on Wednesday the seizure of thousands of leaked and smuggled school textbooks in Baghdad. The service stated its detachments conducted targeted operations, successfully thwarting the smuggling of large book shipments violating Ministry of Education regulations. Based on precise intelligence and continuous field monitoring, a vehicle from another province was intercepted at Al-Shaab checkpoint, carrying 6,000 leaked textbooks. Another vehicle with 1,600 books was also seized. Separately, following judicial approvals and a precise ambush at Al-Shaab checkpoint, a third vehicle loaded with 1,070 various smuggled school books was confiscated. The seized items and suspects were referred to competent authorities for necessary legal procedures.
