Baghdad Emphasizes No Regional Attacks, Reveals Drone Investigation Updates

The Head of the Security Media Cell, Lieutenant General Saad Maan, affirmed on Tuesday that Iraq strongly rejects any aggression targeting regional countries, stressing the continuation of investigations to identify those responsible for launching drones. Lieutenant General Maan stated to the official agency that his country would not permit any attacks against neighboring states, emphasizing its continuous endeavor to be a positive center for convergence and understanding in the Middle East and globally. He clarified that Iraq holds great respect and appreciation for all neighboring countries, foremost among them the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He indicated that necessary measures had been taken, and communication was established with the Saudi side to explain and clarify the governmental procedures implemented. He revealed the formation of a specialized intelligence committee that successfully identified the platform from which the drones were launched within Iraqi Iraqi territory. He noted that the investigation into the matter is progressing seriously, utilizing intelligence, technical expertise, and forensic evidence, including fingerprints and other crucial details to complete the inquiry and apprehend the perpetrators of these acts. He underscored that efforts are primarily focused on pursuing those who committed these actions, affirming the adoption of a new vision and strategy aimed at preventing any opportunity for attempts to destabilize the country or drag Iraq into conflicts it does not desire.
