Iraq's Ambassador to Iran, Yasser Abdul Zahra Al-Hajjaj, announced Wednesday the official launch of the prisoner exchange program between Iraq and Iran, overseen by Supreme Judicial Council head Faiq Zidan. In a statement, Al-Hajjaj confirmed the program "officially begins today with the first batch of the exchange," highlighting its implementation "under the guidance and follow-up of Faiq Zidan." He noted this initiative stemmed from his meeting with Deputy Head of Judiciary Judge Siraj. Discussions focused on executing bilateral judicial agreements and reviewing the Supreme Judicial Council head's visit results to boost judicial cooperation and coordination.
