Magnitude 3 Earthquake Recorded Northwest of Baiji in Saladin

The Iraqi Meteorological Organization announced on Thursday an earthquake of magnitude 3 was recorded northwest of Baiji city in Saladin Governorate. The organization stated its seismic observatories detected the tremor on Thursday evening, noting it measured 3 degrees and occurred approximately 36 kilometers northwest of Baiji. Residents living near the site felt the earthquake, though no reports of material or human damages have been received to date.
