Iraq Education Ministry Advances 2026-2027 Academic Year Start to Early October

Iraq's Ministry of Education decided on Thursday to advance the official start date for schools for the 2026-2027 academic year to October 1. This decision follows the Ministry's completion of preparations for the new academic year, ensuring schools are ready with all necessary educational and administrative supplies to welcome students, superseding the previously set date. Education Minister Abdul Karim Abtan Al-Jubouri directed general education directorates to implement the decision and prepare schools for students by the new date.
