US Central Command Affirms Continued Military Presence in Strait of Hormuz
On Tuesday, the US Central Command denied any withdrawal of American forces from the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing the continuation of its military presence in the navigational passage and surrounding waters in cooperation with regional partners. The command stated on the platform "X" that claims made by the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy about US forces moving hundreds of kilometers away from the strait are inaccurate, noting that US forces in the Middle East remain present and continue their missions. The Central Command leader also indicated over the weekend the ongoing US military presence in the area. The command affirmed that the United States and its regional allies control the international waterway, rejecting the notion that Iran holds control over it.
