Thousands of Non-Compliant Cosmetics Cartons Seized in Baghdad Warehouse

On Monday, the Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency announced the seizure of 2,163 cartons of non-compliant cosmetic products in Baghdad. Organized Crime Control detachments in Rusafa, through intelligence efforts, discovered and seized a clandestine warehouse within an accused individual's residence. The facility contained 2,163 cartons of various cosmetic products, with 900 lacking production or expiration dates and failing to meet official approvals. The operation followed a judicial arrest warrant for the accused (T. J. M.) under Article (35) concerning trademark counterfeiting. Initial investigations indicated the accused manufactured these products in factories outside Iraq, applying misleading commercial data. The agency called on citizens to be cautious when buying cosmetics, stressing the need to verify sources and data, and avoid unreliable outlets for safety.
