Suspect Escaped from Diyala Center Arrested in Anbar

The General Directorate for Drug Affairs announced on Saturday the arrest of a suspect who escaped from one of the drug centers in Diyala and was apprehended in Anbar province. The directorate explained that the arrest was the result of intensive security and intelligence efforts by a joint task force from the drug directorates of Diyala and Anbar. It indicated that the wanted suspect was tracked after fleeing the Diyala center, with his location and movements monitored through precise intelligence follow-up and coordinated security efforts between the two directorates. The necessary measures were taken to arrest him and refer him to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures. The directorate confirmed that it has initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident and hold those responsible accountable according to established protocols.
