Supreme Judicial Council Discusses Guide for Cyber Extortion and AI Deepfake Evidence

The Supreme Judicial Council discussed on Wednesday the preparation of a guidance manual clarifying the nature of digital evidence for cyber extortion crimes. A meeting hosted by the Council focused on digital evidence in cyber extortion cases. Judicial Supervisor Judge Nasser Omran represented the Supreme Judicial Council. Attendees also included representatives from the National Security Service, the National Cyber Security Center, and the Communications and Media Commission. The goal is a comprehensive manual detailing digital evidence for cyber extortion offenses, including AI deepfake algorithms and handling principles. This aims to boost judicial efficiency and elevate institutional work.
