Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi on Saturday directed the Ministry of Finance to allocate necessary funds to the Ministry of Health. This aims to secure essential treatments, devices, and medical supplies for children suffering from diabetes. The directive followed Al-Zaidi's reception in Baghdad of a group of diabetic children, members of the Diabetes Children Care Association, accompanied by the Minister of Health. During the meeting, Al-Zaidi affirmed that caring for diabetic children is a fundamental humanitarian and governmental responsibility. He emphasized the government's strong commitment to providing optimal healthcare and treatment, enabling them to pursue their lives, studies, and daily activities normally. He also stressed that their health needs receive direct, paramount attention from the government. Lina Samir Faeq, Head of the Diabetes Children Care Association, presented the children's key needs and requirements. She conveyed her sincere gratitude for the Prime Minister's initiative to host the delegation and for his immediate directives to secure vital treatment and medical devices. The meeting concluded with the children's expressive artistic performance, showcasing their strong will and self-confidence, and affirming that their condition does not impede their pursuit of life and ambitions.
