Nayef Al-Shammari assumes Defense Ministry duties emphasizing enhanced armed readiness

Defense Minister Nayef Mukaif Al-Shammari officially assumed his duties on Saturday at the ministry headquarters, during an official reception led by the Army Chief of Staff and his deputies, alongside commanders of various military branches. Defense Ministry media spokesman, Special Forces Major General Yahya Rasool, stated that the minister emphasized continuing national responsibilities and enhancing the armed forces' readiness to safeguard the full security, stability, and sovereignty of Iraq.
