Ministry of Finance decides to postpone customs duties for basic food items

The Ministry of Finance announced on Thursday the postponement of collecting customs duties on live red meat, chicken, and eggs. The ministry explained in an official statement that this directive issued to the General Authority of Customs comes within the framework of efforts aimed at supporting the stability of basic food prices, alleviating living burdens on citizens, and directly contributing to enhancing local market stability while providing these products at affordable prices.
