The Kurdistan Regional Government's Ministry of Finance and Economy announced Monday the deposit of 831 billion and 666 million Iraqi Dinars into its bank account at the Erbil branch of the Central Bank of Iraq. This sum is designated for August salaries of the region's employees and retirees. The ministry clarified that the Iraqi federal Ministry of Finance, consistent with previous months, deducted 120 billion Dinars. This amount constitutes the federal treasury's share of the region's non-oil revenues for August, subtracted from the overall salary allocation. Moreover, the ministry highlighted the non-remittance of 6 billion, 30 million, 166 thousand, and 545 Dinars from August's salary funding. This withheld sum represents outstanding salary entitlements for civilian and military retirees from prior months. The ministry confirmed that the salary roster will be published immediately, and August salary distribution will begin promptly after completing necessary procedures and receiving funds in cash from the Central Bank's Erbil branch.
