Houthis Launch Missile and Drone Attack on King Khalid Air Base

The Ansar Allah Houthi movement announced on Monday the execution of a qualitative and wide-ranging military operation targeting King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait, Saudi Arabia. The movement stated that this operation utilized dozens of ballistic missiles and drones. In a statement, the movement clarified that the operation came "in response to the ongoing Saudi aggression" against Yemen. It noted that over 300 airstrikes were launched over the past five days on several Yemeni governorates by Saudi F-15 and Typhoon warplanes, which took off from Khamis Mushait and Taif bases. The operation targeted key military facilities and infrastructure within King Khalid Air Base, including warplane hangars, radars, runways, and ammunition depots, along with other targets. The movement affirmed that the hits on the base were "precise and direct," causing "significant losses." It emphasized the continuation of its military operations towards "Saudi depth" as long as "aggression against the Yemeni people" persists. It warned that any new aggression would be met with "wider and more severe" operations, asserting its commitment to "establishing the equation of siege for siege and escalation for escalation," and targeting Saudi mobilizations until military operations cease and the siege on Yemen is lifted.
