Head of Hajj and Umrah Commission Announces Electronic Lottery Results for 2027-2030 with Elderly Priority

Sami Al-Masoudi, head of the Supreme Commission for Hajj and Umrah, announced on Sunday the electronic Hajj lottery results for the years 2027-2030, confirming that elderly citizens will receive priority for performing the sacred pilgrimage. Al-Masoudi clarified that the Commission made extensive efforts to adopt and simplify the electronic registration system. He affirmed the lottery was overseen by 7 government entities to ensure absolute transparency and fairness. Technical measures, coordinated with the University of Technology and Al-Mustansiriya University, were also implemented to prevent any result manipulation. He explained that prioritizing the elderly in this lottery reflects the Commission's belief in their right to receive first preference for the ritual. Al-Masoudi noted that Iraq's limited Hajj quota, compared to the high number of applicants, imposes a significant responsibility on the Commission, demanding precise handling.
