Najaf Friday prayers leader, Sayyed Sadr al-Din al-Qabanchi, suggested on Friday distributing employees' salaries in dollars. Al-Qabanchi explained during the Friday prayer sermon that the al-Abbas holy shrine announced the reception of Palestinian patients and is bearing the costs of their treatment and transportation free of charge, thanking the shrine for this step with significant connotations regarding the role of the religious authority and the position of the Shia of Ahl al-Bayt towards other Muslims. Regarding the currency crisis, it was emphasized to join the voice of the people, demanding the government to reconsider financial decisions, especially knowing that oil represents almost a wide percentage of Iraq's financial revenues, while religious tourism represents another percentage of revenues. He added that despite temporary problems in oil exports, work must be done to find solutions to oil export problems, especially since the Iraqi government announced that the Strait of Hormuz is open to giant Iraqi tankers that transported millions of barrels last month, and accordingly, if a decline in value is inevitable, a call is made to the government to distribute employees' salaries in dollars.
