The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency apprehended a criminal network of four suspects, including two women, involved in entrapping citizens through usurious loans and coercing them into selling their human organs to repay debts in Baghdad on Sunday. Conducted under the direct supervision of the Senior Deputy Minister for Intelligence and Federal Investigations, anti-organized crime units in Rusafa executed the mission following intelligence reports about a gang preying on low-income individuals by offering predatory loans tied to impossible conditions. Findings revealed that the perpetrators extorted struggling debtors into relinquishing and selling their kidneys to clear their accumulated dues. A specialized security team arrested all four suspects after securing judicial warrants, confiscating mobile phones and ledgers documenting illicit loan transactions and blackmail operations. The agency reaffirmed its ongoing efforts to track down organized crime syndicates and deter those attempting to exploit vulnerable citizens under difficult living conditions.
