The Director of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, discussed on Thursday the unification of procedures and legal contexts in military courts and internal security forces courts. Al-Shammari chaired a meeting at the office headquarters in the presence of the legal advisor to the Ministry of Interior, the heads of public prosecution in the Ministries of Defense and Interior, the heads of the internal security forces courts and the first military court, the assistants of the legal departments in the two ministries, and a number of legal and judicial officials in them, as well as a number of heads of legal and specialized bodies in the office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. The meeting addressed a number of topics related to the work of the legal and judicial departments, foremost of which is the unification of contexts and procedures adopted in the work of courts and investigative councils, mechanisms for implementing arrest warrants, and organizing procedures for managing sessions of military courts and internal security forces courts. The meeting recommended forming a joint committee including representatives from the Ministries of Defense and Interior and the office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to study the raised topics and work on unifying related contexts and procedures in a way that enhances coordination and integration in legal and judicial aspects between the concerned institutions.
