U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance stated Washington's desire to publish the text of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Iran as soon as possible, potentially this Wednesday, despite Pakistan's request to postpone the document's release until Friday. Vance clarified in a press interview that the Pakistani side, which played a pivotal role in mediating this agreement, requested that the full text not be published at present, asserting that it would be released by Friday at the latest. Vance added, "We are urging them to publish it today because we are keen to inform the American people about the details of this agreement." The U.S. Vice President affirmed that Washington had reached "a good agreement with Iran that serves American interests," noting the existence of "distortions and misinformation" regarding the MOU. He emphasized that the agreement "will open the Strait of Hormuz" and that "the resumption of oil flow" is currently underway, in addition to guaranteeing that "Iran will not obtain nuclear weapons."
