UAE Strengthens Preparedness to Tackle Energy Sector Challenges
The UAE has emphasized the importance of strengthening its energy infrastructure to prepare for potential disruptions in the sector. UAE Energy Minister Suhail Al Mazrouei stated at the ADIPEC conference in Abu Dhabi that the war in the Middle East highlighted the need for investment in alternative supply routes and energy reserves to overcome crises. Al Mazrouei noted that the country must be ready for worst-case scenarios due to the unpredictability of future events. He added that previous investments in pipelines, ships, and logistics services helped maintain supply stability during the conflict period. He stressed the importance of producers investing in storage at the international level to be closer to their customers. He also anticipated that many companies would redesign their facilities to be more resilient in the future after the war ends.
