Trump Pardons 11 Individuals Allegedly "Wronged by Biden Administration"
US President Donald Trump granted pardons to 11 convicted individuals, including businessman Adam Kidan and five environmental violation cases, labeling them as "oppressed" under his predecessor Joe Biden's administration. The pardons included six convicts, among them businessman Kidan, who served 70 months for conspiracy and fraud charges in a $147.5 million casino deal in 2006, and later became a prominent Republican donor. The remaining pardons focused on environmental violations related to tampering with vehicle emissions systems, in violation of the Clean Air Act. Trump had previously characterized the pardoned individuals as "oppressed" by the Biden administration over "modifying their cars," calling it "politicization and stupidity," and pledging their immediate release. The pardon notably excluded another non-environmental case: Jack Harvard, convicted of bank fraud in Texas during the 1980s, now managing the "Texas Safari Ranch".
