Traffic sets strict fine for unregistered motorcycles legally

The General Traffic Directorate announced on Wednesday a deadline for owners of legally imported motorcycles and those purchased through auctions to register their vehicles, confirming a financial fine of 100,000 dinars will be imposed on violators. The director of the Media and Public Relations Department at the Directorate, Colonel Haidar Shakir Mohammed, told the official agency that the registration period extends from October 18, 2026, until February 22, 2027, urging motorcycle owners to visit registration sites and complete procedures according to legal regulations. He added that the fine will be imposed on those who fail to comply with the specified period, based on the provisions of Article 25 of the current traffic law.
