Baghdad Municipality gives generator owners wire organization deadline

Baghdad Municipality issued a directive on Wednesday requiring private generator owners to organize electrical wires reaching residential homes within a maximum period of five days, warning violators of strict penalties including generator removal. Official Municipality spokesman Uday Al-Jandil stated that the instructions stipulate gathering wires into a single bundle along street sides, aiming to preserve the general aesthetic appearance and facilitate the movement of service vehicles within residential neighborhoods and alleys. He confirmed that municipal departments will oversee field implementation, emphasizing legal measures against violators which may reach removing generators upon the expiration of the specified deadline.
