Security investigations prove murder of citizen by his wife

Babylon Police Command announced on Saturday that there is a criminal suspicion behind the death of a person, after his wife put an insecticide in the tea. In the security follow-up to uncover the circumstances of criminal cases, under the supervision of Police Chief Major General Abbas Hassan Nasser Al-Husseini, the truth of the death of a citizen inside Imam Al-Sadiq Hospital was reached, after the preliminary investigation results raised suspicions about the incident before handing over the body to his family. Preliminary investigations indicated that the deceased's wife was suspected of putting a toxic substance used to exterminate insects inside the tea, which necessitated taking medical procedures and necessary laboratory tests to verify the causes of death. An investigative team headed by the director of the Babylon Anti-Crime Department, with the participation of investigators and criminal evidence experts, took over following up the case, and the accused confessed to the act attributed to her, and her confession was judicially ratified before the competent investigative judge, while the necessary legal measures were taken against her and she was detained according to the law.
