PMF Forces Apprehend Suspect in Violent Child Assault in Baghdad

The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) announced Friday the apprehension of a suspect involved in the violent beating of a child. This development follows the widespread circulation of a video clip on social media platforms documenting the brutal incident. A statement from the PMF confirmed that the arrest operation was carried out by an intelligence force from the 4th Regiment, part of the 30th Brigade, in coordination with a unit from Ashour Police Station. The operation targeted the individual seen in the viral video violently assaulting the child. The statement clarified that the operation followed careful monitoring and tracking of the circulated video. Necessary judicial approvals for the arrest warrant were obtained, after which the force successfully moved in and apprehended the suspect. Following the completion of proper procedures, the accused was handed over to the competent authorities for legal action.
