Najaf Airport Suspends All Flights to and from Iran Starting Today

Najaf International Airport announced today, Friday, the comprehensive suspension of all incoming and outgoing flights to and from the Islamic Republic of Iran. The airport management stated in a release that, based on official directives issued by competent authorities, it was decided to halt these flights effective from 02:00 AM on Friday, September 25, 2026, until further notice. The management urged airlines and relevant operational entities to take necessary measures, emphasizing the importance of refraining from any operational procedures concerning flights covered by the decision during the suspension period. The management added that concerned parties would be officially notified of any updates or subsequent directives regarding the resumption of air traffic.
