Baghdad Traffic: Partial Closure of Two Karkh Bridges for Maintenance

The General Traffic Directorate has announced a partial closure of Al-Muthanna and 14 Ramadan bridges on the Karkh side of Baghdad, for necessary maintenance work spanning several days. Maintenance on Al-Muthanna Bridge includes scraping and paving the road, in addition to replacing and repairing the bridge joints. These works will commence from 11:00 PM on Thursday and continue until 5:00 AM on Tuesday. The partial closure will affect the road segment from the Karkh side towards Rusafa. Meanwhile, 14 Ramadan Bridge will undergo replacement and repair of its joints. This maintenance will start from 11:00 PM on Thursday and conclude at 5:00 AM on Sunday. The partial closure will be implemented on the Karkh side, specifically from the Al-Ateifia ascent towards Al-Adhamiya and vice-versa. The Directorate urged citizens and vehicle drivers to be aware and utilize alternative routes during the work period, emphasizing the importance of adhering to traffic police directives to facilitate traffic flow.
