MP Amer Nasrallah announced today a proposal to increase the number of job positions in the budget to 200,000. He explained that the legislative term has been extended and the holiday postponed for 30 days, noting that the budget project is expected to be presented to the parliament this month after being reviewed and approved by the cabinet. He pointed out that the Prime Minister agreed to include 120,000 job positions in the budget, which will be distributed among the provinces according to population ratios. He added that the parliamentary financial committee is considering several proposals, including raising the number to 200,000 positions to cover a broader range of groups. He clarified that these proposals aim to provide more job opportunities for graduates, especially those with older and higher degrees, as well as those employed under census contracts and other graduate categories.
