Ministry of Trade Commences Preparation of Food and Social Protection Baskets Starting Sunday

The Ministry of Trade announced the commencement of cutting and preparing the seventh food basket and the social protection basket in Baghdad and the provinces starting next Sunday. Lama Hashem Al-Mousawi, the General Manager of the General Company for Food Trading, stated that the preparation of the seventh batch of food basket items and the social protection basket will begin on November 1 in Baghdad and all provinces. She added that the preparation process is carried out according to a marketing plan prepared by the company to ensure smooth distribution and delivery of the basket items to beneficiaries, prioritizing the poorest areas and completing preparation for other regions according to approved schedules. Al-Mousawi urged citizens and families to visit their authorized ration agents to receive the food basket and social protection basket items together according to the specified preparation schedules, emphasizing the company's commitment to continuously securing food supplies and delivering them to eligible recipients in Baghdad and the provinces.
