Ministry of Interior: Preemptive Inspection and Security Exercise in New Baghdad

The Ministry of Interior announced on Wednesday a security exercise and proactive inspection campaign in New Baghdad, east of the capital. Ministry spokesperson, Colonel Muhammad Ali Al-Hassoun, stated that the Baghdad Rusafa Police Command conducted this operation within its jurisdiction, supported by various units. The campaign aimed to inspect homes, seize illegal items, apprehend wanted persons and residency violators, confiscate unlicensed weapons, and remove encroachments to enforce security in the area. Results included the arrest of a suspect with crystal meth and a pistol, two suspects with forged seals, seven residency violators, and another individual possessing a pistol. All detainees have been referred for necessary legal action.
