Ministry of Interior Announces Zero Tribal Shootings, 99% Success Dismantling Global Networks

The Ministry of Interior today announced a significant 86% decrease in fire incidents compared to last year, confirming 99% success in dismantling international criminal networks and cross-border gangs. Major General Miqdad Miri, head of the Ministry's Relations and Media Department, revealed in a press conference that 10 specialized cross-border operations were conducted regionally. He noted a remarkable decline in major crimes: murder and rape decreased by 13% each, kidnapping by 44%. Criminal offense detection, including forgery, prostitution, and theft, reached 71%. Miri confirmed 12 provinces (Najaf, Muthanna, Karbala, Diyala, Diwaniyah, Nineveh, Salah al-Din, Kirkuk, Babil, Anbar, Dhi Qar, Wasit) are entirely free of "tribal shootings" (Dikka Ashairiya) at zero percent. Regarding border security, Ministry units erected a 16-kilometer concrete wall near the Syrian border. They also converted a 24-kilometer inflatable barrier to the zero line and installed 465 kilometers of other inflatable barriers in various sectors. In combating organized crime, the Ministry achieved a 99% proactive detection rate for cross-border crimes. It resolved 900 national economic cases via the Organized Crime Directorate. No oil product infringement or smuggling was recorded. Furthermore, 297 industrial fraud cases were resolved, along with 276 expired goods cases, 84 currency counterfeiting cases, 142 unlicensed drug cases, and 47 human trafficking cases. The overall detection rate for these reached 88%. The Ministry handled 1,822 electronic crimes (blackmail, defamation, financial fraud, rumor-mongering), identifying 926 suspects. Network connectivity and automation are complete for 1,341 police stations and anti-crime departments in Baghdad and governorates, covering 98% nationwide. In the traffic sector, the Ministry contracted for 100 mobile radars; 60 were received and entered service within 100 days. 135,000 driving licenses were issued/renewed, while 304,000 traffic violations were recorded, mostly for seatbelts and red light running. 14,000 individuals violating residency conditions were deported, and 30,000 lacking entry requirements were denied access to the country. During the same 100-day period, 9 officers were dismissed for administrative/financial corruption, and 122 personnel judicially expelled. Immediate dismissal decisions were issued for 29 judicially convicted officers and 58 personnel, and 3,245 absconding personnel were expelled.
