Interior Minister Yasser Al-Maliki issued official directives on Monday to elevate readiness levels and ensure immediate response across all security sectors and regions. The directives came during a field tour conducted by the minister at the ministry operations department and the national command center, where he listened to a comprehensive security briefing regarding daily incidents and the general situation, in addition to inspecting the central command and control directorate nine hundred and eleven to review its assigned duties and tasks. Al-Maliki met with senior commanders, ministry operations staff, and several department heads to discuss detailed reports on incidents recorded across Iraqi provinces. The attendees discussed ways to develop the performance of the security institution, emphasizing the necessity of maintaining maximum combat readiness and upgrading communication systems to minimize response times for emergency calls. The minister tour also included reviewing the effectiveness of current security plans, inspecting border points, outposts, and military fortifications, as well as evaluating precautionary measures to enhance regional security and improve coordination among security formations.
