Interior Minister Affirms Ministry's Readiness to Manage Security in Capital and Provinces

Interior Minister Yasser Al-Maliki, during his meeting with U.S. Chargé d'Affaires Stephen Fagin, confirmed the ministry's readiness to take over the security file in the capital and provinces. The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation and joint coordination in security fields. Al-Maliki emphasized the adoption of a scientific approach and careful planning in managing security work to ensure improved performance and consolidation of stability pillars. Meanwhile, the U.S. Chargé d'Affaires highlighted his country's support in training, qualification, and logistical backing to boost the readiness and capabilities of internal security forces in facing challenges.
