Green Iraq Observatory Reveals Water Contamination in 6 Baghdad Hospitals
The Green Iraq Observatory revealed on Saturday the detection of water contamination in samples from six hospitals in the capital, Baghdad. The observatory referred to the annual report of the Board of Supreme Audit for 2025, which confirmed the presence of contamination in water samples sent to the Central Health Laboratory, noting the absence of necessary measures to address these cases. The report identified, within the Medical City Directorate, Baghdad Teaching Hospital, Al-Shaheed Ghazi Al-Hariri Hospital, and their affiliated centers, in addition to Al-Amal Hospital for Cancer Treatment. The mentioned contamination also included, within the Baghdad Rusafa Health Directorate, Fatima Al-Zahra (PBUH) Hospital for Women and Children, and Kamal Al-Samarraie Hospital for Fertility, Infertility Treatment, and IVF.
