Gold prices experienced a slight decline in early Asian trading on Tuesday, influenced by the strengthening of the US dollar and investors awaiting the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision scheduled for Wednesday. Spot gold prices fell by 0.1% to $4013.70 per ounce, while December futures contracts dropped 0.3% to $4027.10. The rise in the dollar reduces the appeal of gold priced in US currency for holders of other currencies, as markets await signals on the path of interest rates amid ongoing inflation concerns. In other precious metals, silver rose 0.1% in spot trading to $53.97 per ounce, platinum remained steady at $1527.81, and palladium decreased by 0.7% to $1042.43 per ounce.
