Flick Confirms Barcelona's Readiness Ahead of Real Madrid Clash

German coach Hans Flick of Barcelona emphasized that the upcoming match against Real Madrid carries significance beyond just three points. During Saturday's press conference ahead of tomorrow's game at the Spotify Camp Nou in the tenth round of La Liga, Flick highlighted the players' regained fitness and strong confidence. He stated, "I feel very optimistic. The players are fully prepared. El Clasico is the pinnacle of football, and all eyes will be on it. The team is very eager for this encounter." He added, "Although we are playing for only three points, the importance of the match goes far beyond that. We are pleased to take part in this major event and look forward to it enthusiastically. We have great confidence in our team." Flick also praised new signing Rodri from Manchester City, noting his positive impact and satisfaction with his early performances. "We were confident he would develop when we signed him, and he has added great value to the team. I am very happy to have him with us, and the midfield is stronger with him alongside Pedri," he said. He commended young player Xavi Esparat, pointing out his promising potential and the importance of maintaining good performances. "Performance is everything in football, and he has delivered excellent displays so far. He has great potential and room for growth, currently performing excellently," Flick noted. He addressed the recent defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, explaining that the coaching staff discussed the causes with the players and analyzed the match to improve performance. He concluded, "We did many things well, but there are areas that need improvement. This loss is an opportunity for growth, challenge, and working to enhance the team."
