Destruction of large quantities of drugs in Basra

The head of the Committee for the Destruction of Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, Judge Osama Dakhil, explained on Monday that the committee destroyed nearly 85 kilograms of various seized drugs stored in the Forensic Medicine Department of the Basra Health Directorate. A statement by the Supreme Judicial Council stated that the committee, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the Forensic Medicine Department in Basra, destroyed 84 kilograms, 338 grams, and 520 milligrams of drugs. He added that the operation also included the destruction of 63,602 pills of various narcotic substances, in addition to 1,342 narcotic drops and 1,356 milliliters of various narcotic liquids.
