Arrest of Suspects Running Fake Industrial Fraud Factory in Najaf Province
The Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency announced on Saturday the arrest of suspects running a fake factory dedicated to industrial fraud, where large quantities of counterfeit materials bearing well-known international brand names were seized in Najaf province. The agency stated that information indicated the existence of industrial and commercial fraud involving the imitation of well-known global detergent brands in a fake factory within the province. It added that a task force was formed following investigation and monitoring, leading to the discovery of a factory built on agricultural land to evade security forces, where tools used in fraud operations were found. The statement noted that the suspects openly admitted to conducting industrial fraud by purchasing raw materials and packaging them in containers labeled with famous international company names to gain financial benefits, exploiting the agricultural nature of the area to conceal their activities. The agency confirmed that proper investigative and judicial measures were taken against the suspects, emphasizing its ongoing commitment to monitoring all criminal activities to protect citizens from any threats to security or public health.
