Arrest of Dangerous Criminal Following Armed Clash in Baghdad and Dhi Qar

The Ministry of Interior announced on Thursday the arrest of a highly dangerous criminal involved in armed robbery and theft in Baghdad and Dhi Qar provinces. The ministry stated that based on precise intelligence, a specialized team was formed to locate the suspect wanted for multiple criminal cases. Upon the arrival of security forces, the suspect opened fire, prompting the enforcement of engagement rules, resulting in his injury and capture. The statement highlighted that the suspect committed several crimes including armed robbery of jewelry stores in Dhi Qar and an armed robbery against a restaurant chain owner in Baghdad. Legal procedures were taken against him, and he confessed to the crimes during investigations.
