AI-Powered Voice Recorder Organizes Conversations into Practical Content
Soulog has introduced the Sense device, a compact voice recorder powered by artificial intelligence designed to capture conversations and organize related personal information, assisting users in transforming ideas and discussions into practical outputs such as reports, proposals, and summaries. The device operates seamlessly with the Soulog app, which consolidates recordings and associated files into an organized context for easy reference and further development. Sense is currently available through the company's official store and Amazon. The device's concept relies on a three-step process called "Capture → Connect → Create," aiming to move beyond mere conversation storage to leveraging content for task completion. Sense is designed for minimal effort voice recording, featuring a physical sliding switch to start recording instantly. Users can add photos, notes, and files via the Soulog app, with a dedicated button to mark important moments during conversations. It includes a Rewind feature that saves up to 30 minutes of prior audio, provided the device is on, the feature is enabled, and active hours are set by the user. The app allows reviewing transcribed texts, recaps, and task lists, and exploring conversation-related information through Map and Timeline features that organize context chronologically and link various elements. The Space feature groups conversations and supporting files in one place, facilitating access to relevant information without searching multiple sources. The company offers unlimited free audio-to-text transcription, while some AI features require a paid subscription. Users can create editable documents within the app, called Artifacts, including proposals, summaries, and reports. The device supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling compatible AI tools to access context and information stored in Soulog for other tasks. Sense boasts a compact design measuring approximately 4 × 2.5 × 0.12 inches and weighing 1.6 ounces, with 8GB of internal storage. It utilizes two MEMS microphones and a Voice Processing Unit (VPU), with a sound capture range of about 16 feet (4.9 meters). Continuous recording lasts up to 50 hours on a full battery charge, with actual runtime varying based on usage and settings. Charging is via a standard USB-C port, requiring no special dock, with 10 minutes of charging providing roughly eight hours of typical daily use. The company ensures audio files are encrypted on the device, during transfer, and in cloud storage, with cloud sync activated by the user. It is emphasized that user content is neither sold nor used to train AI models.
