Water Resources Ministry: Improved Reserves, Flood Warnings Issued

Iraq’s Ministry of Water Resources announced a noticeable improvement in water reserves following recent rainfall across the country.

The ministry stated that the rainfall contributed to boosting water storage, supporting agricultural plans for the upcoming season.

However, it warned of heavy rain expected on Thursday, which may cause flooding in several regions, especially valleys in western and eastern areas.

Citizens living near flood-prone areas were urged to take precautions and stay away from danger zones.

Farmers and livestock owners were also advised to implement preventive measures to protect their assets.

The ministry stressed the importance of following official safety instructions.
