US Treasury expands sanctions list against Iran adding 28 institutions 19 oil tankers 4 individuals

The US Department of the Treasury announced on Tuesday the expansion of the sanctions list imposed on Iran by adding 28 institutions, 19 oil tankers, and 4 individuals.

The expanded sanctions list includes 28 institutions, companies, and organizations, including from Iran itself, in addition to the United Arab Emirates, Panama, the Marshall Islands, and Hong Kong.

Regarding oil tankers, sanctions apply to vessels carrying different flags and jurisdictions. As for the four new figures on the list, they include citizens from Turkey and Iran.
