US Secretary of Defense, Pete Higgseth, on Tuesday warned Iran of a military response "ten times stronger" should it persist in launching attacks on commercial vessels and regional nations. During a press conference held at the White House, on the sidelines of a meeting between US President Donald Trump and his Lebanese counterpart Joseph Aoun, the American Secretary stated that Iran "missed all available opportunities for communication and dialogue." Higgseth added that the US President possesses multiple options to address this escalation, noting that "if they want to talk, they can talk; otherwise, they will face the US Department of Defense." He further clarified that Iran's possession of a "large quantity of weapons" constitutes a threat demanding a firm stance. He also emphasized: "If Iran continues with its attacks, we will strike them tenfold, day after day and night after night." The pace of military escalation between the United States and Iran is increasing. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the completion of the tenth consecutive night of strikes within Iran. CENTCOM affirmed that these strikes targeted military command centers, naval capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and air defense systems, with the aim of weakening Tehran's ability to attack commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Conversely, Iran announced the execution of new attacks targeting Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan.
