United States imports of Iraqi crude oil came to a complete halt during the past week, recording zero according to fresh data released by the US Energy Information Administration on Sunday. Official figures revealed that average US crude oil imports from nine primary supplier nations reached 6.145 million barrels per day last week, marking an increase of 1.196 million barrels per day compared to the prior week's average of 4.949 million barrels daily. The reports confirmed that American imports of Iraqi crude fell to zero, down from an average of 51,000 barrels per day recorded in the preceding week. Canada topped the list of crude exporters delivering to the American market, averaging 3.891 million barrels daily, followed by Venezuela at 624,000 barrels per day, Nigeria with 376,000 barrels daily, and Guyana at 354,000 barrels per day. Additionally, Washington imported 301,000 barrels per day from Brazil, 228,000 barrels per day from Saudi Arabia, and 186,000 barrels daily from Mexico, alongside 112,000 barrels from Argentina and 73,000 barrels per day from Colombia. The United States procures the majority of its crude oil requirements from these key partners to sustain its domestic consumption of nearly 20 million barrels per day, maintaining its global ranking as the top oil consumer.
