The US Central Command (CENTCOM) on Friday denied that US Navy vessels were attacked or fired upon by Iranian forces in the Gulf of Oman, stating that such an action would constitute a blatant ceasefire violation. CENTCOM further clarified, via a post on the 'X' platform, that Iranian claims of firing warning shots at American warships in the Gulf of Oman, forcing them to retreat towards the Indian Ocean, are false. The Command reiterated that US forces continue their naval operations in regional waters, fully enforcing the blockade imposed on Iran.
