United States Welcomes Return of Ambassador Stephen Fagin as Chargé d'Affaires to Iraq

The U.S. Embassy announced on Wednesday the return of Ambassador Stephen Fagin to Iraq in his new role as Chargé d'Affaires. The Embassy affirmed its welcome of Fagin's return to assume the duties of Chargé d'Affaires at the U.S. mission in Iraq. Ambassador Fagin returns to Iraq after previously serving as the U.S. Ambassador to Yemen. Prior to that, he held positions as Chargé d'Affaires and Deputy Chief of Mission in Baghdad, and also served as Consul General in Erbil. Fagin's extensive regional experience is expected to significantly enhance relations between the United States and Iraq, moving forward towards a future of mutual benefit for both the American and Iraqi peoples.
