The United Nations Children's Fund has issued official warnings that over three hundred and forty-seven million children will face severe weather conditions due to natural climate changes associated with the phenomenon. The organization explained that approximately one hundred countries and territories will experience unusual weather conditions characterized by drought or high humidity during the period spanning from October to December of the year two thousand and twenty-six. The Asia and the Pacific region tops the list of the most affected areas, registering one hundred and ninety million children impacted by severe weather, followed by the southern and eastern Africa region with forty-1 million children, in addition to twenty-two million other children affected in Europe and Central Asia by the same consequences. Data indicated that about one point one billion children globally have already faced heat waves, droughts, and floods previously. Press reports published by the Los Angeles Times indicate the possibility of this cycle of the phenomenon being recorded as the strongest since the middle of the twentieth century, specifically since the year nineteen fifty. The El Nino phenomenon is known by an exceptional rise in the temperatures of the equatorial Pacific Ocean waters, causing widespread disruptions in temperature patterns and rainfall rates, and Brazil stands out as one of the most affected countries, with northern and Amazon regions exposed to severe drought and heat waves alongside heavy rainfall and floods in the southern regions.
