UK, US, Netherlands Issue Joint Warning Over Iranian Spyware

Britain, the United States, and the Netherlands issued a joint cybersecurity warning today, Tuesday. The three nations disclosed details of spyware programs, asserting that entities linked to the Iranian state utilize them to target dissidents, activists, and journalists. The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) in Britain reported that Iranian state-backed entities employed a suite of spyware known as "Chosen Break." These programs aim to steal emails and other sensitive information through "spear-phishing" campaigns conducted via messaging platforms, including WhatsApp and Telegram.
