Trump announces unprecedented military drones
US President Donald Trump stated that Washington is preparing to deploy a new generation of combat drones that will qualitatively outperform all similar systems globally. These remarks came during a speech delivered in Baltimore, Maryland, where Trump discussed plans to upgrade the US military hardware arsenal, pointing out that the United States will not stop at the advanced drones, but will also acquire new ships, aircraft, and missiles entirely manufactured domestically bearing the made-in-America label. Trump noted regarding the capabilities that witnessing the new series of drones will leave observers in disbelief as they are the most advanced globally and no one can even consider competing with them. Meanwhile, the US Congressional Research Service reported on Tuesday that American forces lost more than eighty aircraft during military operations against Iran, with unmanned aerial vehicles accounting for the largest share at forty-seven aircraft. On another note, the Pentagon plans to initiate intensive production of low-cost attack drones named LUCAS within the United States at an estimated price of fifty-five thousand dollars per unit, inspired by the design of Iranian Shahed drones, aiming to provide a partial alternative to expensive cruise missiles in the military arsenal.
