Trump Affirms Iran Strikes, Strait of Hormuz Open for Navigation

US President Donald Trump stated Sunday that the Strait of Hormuz remains open for commercial navigation, affirming the United States carried out powerful strikes against Iran. In remarks to American media, Trump declared, "We struck Iran very severely last night, and the Strait of Hormuz is open for commercial navigation." He noted Washington had reached an agreement with the Iranians yesterday, but they retracted, launching a drone attack on a ship two hours later, he said.
